About the Role
Bitdefender is seeking an experienced security analytics technical product manager to join our Business Solution Group product management team and drive the implementation of our analytics driven detection and response technologies. This is a key role for driving the go-to-product execution for the company’s security analytics platform, in close collaboration with the wider product management group. You will be responsible for identifying and continuously validating customer challenges and requirements, defining product specifications and prioritizing user stories that are in line with market requirements, leading the product implementation working directly with multiple engineering teams, and communicating the technology value proposition cross functionally to PMM/TMM/Field Engineering via technical briefs, competitive positioning statements, and technical content development.
Depending on your experience, multiple levels of seniority are available. Successful candidates must have solid experience in security analytics platform product management or extensive field engineering experience driving solution architecture and solution implementation with enterprise customers. Strong preference will be given to candidates experienced with SIEM, SOAR, EDR, NDR or XDR products and technology companies. The role is that of a subject matter expert internally and externally for the solutions portfolio. Responsibilities
- Responsible for the technical implementation and commercial success of the Bitdefender security analytics product line (EDR/XDR).
- Work with customers and partners to research, identify and document market requirements, use-cases, user and influencer personas, and translate them into product requirements and specifications.
- Work closely with the product management group and UX team to create a compelling and competitively differentiated product roadmap and maintain a prioritized product backlog.
- Provide vision and direction to technical functions, agile R&D and engineering teams that are developing the technology and product.
- Plan and prioritize feature backlog and development for the product line; make tough prioritization choices and identify high-impact areas of investment.
- Lead engineering grooming sessions to ensure product requirements and specifications are well understood and are inline with the product vision and roadmap. Run user acceptance testing and beta programs for new technologies.
- Be the market expert for your product line in relation to internal stakeholders, from the customer use cases to influencer/user personas and technical competitive analysis.
- Be an active contributor to continuous internal processes improvement efforts.
- Work closely with PMMs/TMMs and actively contribute to go-to-market strategies, planning and execution.
- Be the SME/spokesperson for the product/service with internal departments, as well as with customers and partners at tradeshows and other events.
- Support sales enablement content and delivery for internal sellers and partners including development of call scripts, training presentations, cheat sheets, etc.
- Provide brief and accurate status reports to various internal stakeholders, execute leadership team and customers/partners.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of cybersecurity industry experience related to security analytics technologies and product management.
- In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity technologies and tools such as SIEM, SOAR, EDR, NDR, XDR, Endpoint Protection, Cloud Workloads Security, and Incident Response.
- Demonstrated previous experience in product management, solution architecture or security operations centers. In previous positions you have actively worked with security analytics-based cybersecurity solutions; specific experience with detection and response technologies is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of threat landscape and cybersecurity attacks, APTs and attack techniques. This is accompanied by in-depth knowledge of specific security challenges related to workstation, server and cloud security.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity standards and frameworks (e.g. CIS, NIST 800-, PCI, HIPAA, SOC2, FedRAMP, etc.).
- Experience using agile project management tools such as the Atlassian suite (Jira, Bamboo, Confluence, etc.)
- Proven ability to effectively work with global cross-functional teams and external customers.
- Experience with product/technology evangelism in exec level briefings and industry events, accompanied by good interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Must be self-motivated and a proactive self-starter.
- BA/BS degree required in computer science or related field.
- Possess cybersecurity industry leading certifications that are applicable to the job profile (e.g. ISC2, GIAC, Offensive Security, SANS, etc.)
- Product/project management certifications are desired but not mandatory (e.g. Pragmatic Marketing, PMP, Six Sigma, etc.)
Available for international travel; up to 20% of the time will be required.
